I Andrew Parker Snr of the county of Cleveland and State of North Carolina Being of sound mind and memory but considering the uncertainty of my earthly existence do make and declare this my last will and testament in manner and form folowing that is to say
First that my executors herein after named shal provid for my body a decent burial suitable to the wishes of my relatives and friends and pay all funeral expenses together with my just debts howsoever and to whomever owing out of the moneys that may first come into his hands as a part or parcel of my estate
Item 1st I give and bequeath unto my three sons Joseph & Andrew Jr & William they lands that I have deeded unto them
Item the 2nd I give and bequeath unto my son William five head of the choice hogs of my [? ___]
Item the 3rd I gave and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret thirty dollars
Item the 4th I gave and bequeath unto my daughter Nancy thirty dollars
Item the 5th the balance of my property to be sold and devided equaly among my daughers Linny Lucas, Mary Wortman, Sary Hoyle, Fany McNeilly, Margaret Towry, Nancy Norton, Susy Proctor
Item the 6th I appoint my sons Andrew Parker and Wm Parker Executors of my will

• The 1850 census of Cleveland County, NC lists Andrew Parker (farmer, age 60) as head of household 1342. Also listed in the household are Nancy (age 50), Margaret (age 28), Nancy (age 28), Susan (age 23), Andrew (age 20), and William (age 19). The Nancy who was age 50 is listed as being born in "Va". The others are all listed as being born in "N.C.".
• Some Internet sources list Andrew Parker's wife as Nancy Lucas, but I haven't found any original record that confirms this. I have checked Rutherford and Lincoln County, N.C. marriage bonds and find no listing for a marriage of Andrew Parker.
• Andrew Parker is likely buried in the Parker Cemetery near Casar, N.C. Transcriptions of the tombstone of Andrew Parker indicate he died at the age of 67 on 17 November 1857. This date is consistent with his will which was signed on 18 July 1857 and recorded on 14 December 1857.
• Another older listing of the Parker Cemetery was published in the "Bridges to the Past" column of the Forest City (N.C.) This Week newspaper on Wednesday, January 16, 1974. This listing of the cemetery includes entries for both Andrew and Nancy Parker as follows: "Cemetery near Buck Chapman's ... Andrew Parker, died 17 November 1857, aged 67; Nancy Parker, died 19 October 1854, aged 63? years."
